Warranty Policy
Our warranty policy covers both leathers and most fabrics used. Regular line leathers will be under warranty for the period of five years and most regular line fabrics are leathers and certain fabrics that do not meet all the performance requirements of Urban Leather will not be included in our warranty program.

Leathers
Leathers treated with after-market leather treatments or leathers exposed to pets are not covered under our warranty. This should be clearly communicated to your consumer before purchase to avoid problems later. Leather warranty does not cover issues related to normal wear, fading and drying of leather.

Fabrics
Fabrics that do not adhere to all the performance requirements of Urban Leather cannot be warranted against wear, seam slippage, shrinkage and fading. Each dealer should know beforehand which fabrics are included in this category. Our warranty policy does not apply to fabrics treated with after-market treatments or fabrics exposed to pets. Please advise your customers at the time of purchase that fabrics should be cleaned by professional cleaners only.

Leather Claims
Urban Leather warrants that the upholstery leather on each piece of furniture will be repaired or replaced as best determined by Urban Leather if the leather fails to give at least one year of normal wear.
Note:
Claims due to cuts, burns, stains, soiling, pet damage, after-market leather treatment and improper cleaning are excluded. Urban Leather cannot warrant any problems that arise from exposure to excessive heat or sunlight.

Fabric Claims
Fabric claims with Urban Leather are similar to that of our leather claims, with these exceptions:
Due to the chemical make-up of certain fabric fibers, Urban Leather cannot warrant any problems which may result from exposure to excessive heat or sunlight. Do not remove fabric covers for cleaning.
Pilling - Pilling is a characteristic of many upholstered fabrics that results in excess fiber separating from the surface of the material. The release of excess fiber results in small 'balls' or 'pills' of fiber forming on the surface of the cover. The condition in not warranted by the fabric mills because it is not considered to be a defect and is no different than the 'fuzzing' experience with a new carpet or the pilling of a new sweater. Most consumers assume that the fabric is disintegrating and will ultimately leave a bald area on the cover. That is not the case. The pilling will cease once the excess fiber is gone. The remedy for this condition is to simply 'shave' the cover with a battery operated furniture or sweater shaver to remove the pills and restore the look of the cover surface.
This treatment might need to be applied three or four times before the pilling will diminish and ultimately cease.

Frames, Suspension, Foam, Exposed Wood and Sleepers
All products manufactured by Urban Leather shall bear a lifetime (25 years) of pro-rated* frame and suspension warranty. All sofa bed units and mattresses feature a three-year pro-rated warranty.
The foam product used in Urban Leather seat and back cushions shall bear a five-year warranty against excessive loss of resiliency. Note that it is normal for all foam to soften initially. Stitching shall carry a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Exposed wood parts shall carry a one-year limited warranty against material defects. Each customer should be notified of the proper care for seat cushions, which involves rotating the cushions weekly and not removing the covers for cleaning.
*Pro-related formula: Equal to month(s) used divided by month(s) warranted, multiplied by current wholesale price to be determined by Urban Leather.

Transportation and Insurance
Urban Leather does not insure beyond the carriers' liability. The costs of extra insurance (if desired by the dealer) will be the responsibility of the dealer and should be indicated on the purchase order to Urban Leather.
Urban Leather assumes no liability or consequential damage of any nature. The purchaser will assume all liability for the consequence of its use and misuse by the purchasers or others by the acceptance of this product. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, guarantees, obligations or liability expressed or implied.

Warranty Handling Procedure
The following procedure should be used when initiating an Urban Leather claim:
Consumer should contact dealer.
Dealer should inspect and verify need for warranty service before contacting Urban Leather Customer Service Department.
Warranty claims must be accompanied by digital photograph to depict warranty issue/damage. Email photographs to
info@urbanleather.net.
Our Customer Service Department will issue a return authorization (RA) number should the furniture require factory service. Please note that all shipping charges will be the responsibility of the customer. We will not accept furniture (with or without a return authorization number) freight collect.
Once our Service Department has verified the warranty claim, we will repair or replace the product at our discretion and return freight prepaid to the dealer only.
We will contact the dealer for further instructions if our Service Department cannot verify a defect covered by our warranty. In the event that repairs are to be made, a purchase order should be issued for the repair, replacement and return of the goods collect, at an agreed pre-determined cost.
Repairs under $50.00 may be authorized by Urban Leather sales representatives if local repair service is available. Any repairs over this amount require a RA number from Urban Leather. We will not accept any repair, inspection or debit charges, etc. if authorization was not obtained beforehand.
